I think the pregnant body is beautiful! Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful that I am happy to be past soon but, before the moment passed (and before the stretch marks set in) I had my pictures taken. Here I am 35 weeks pregnant.
Justin and I have been married since November of 2002. We cannot believe it has been 7 years! Looking back we see that we were just babies when we married and we have done a lot of growing up together since 2002. Recently we decided to expand our little twosome and we are happy to say that in April of next year we will welcome Little Tuna to our world!
Eve
Eve
I am a full time graduate student at the University of Utah in the Cognitive Neurosciences area of the Psychology Department. My interests include aging, memory and environmental determinants of cognitive function. In particular I am interested in how people who spend time in naturalistic or urban settings perform differently on tasks requiring a lot of mental effort. I believe that natural settings can be restorative and therefore good for your ability to think clearly and feel good.
In my personal life I put this research to task by going for lots of hikes and getting outdoors as often as I can. While my pregnancy has slowed me down a bit, I still teach a class of 18, that I take for two field trips in the wilderness. In addition I am an active advocate for wilderness preservation.
Justin
Justin
Justin is a busy, busy guy! For his official job, he works as a policy analyst for County Councilwoman Jani Iwomoto. This job requires he knows all the goings on in Salt Lake County including everything from, building projects and ordinances to garbage can placement and individual constituent complaints!
In his free time he has started a political consulting firm (Miller and Risbon) where he takes on candidates running for different public offices and gives them strategy advice, from messaging to GOTV implementation. He and his partner, Megan, began this firm in September, 2009 and already have several canidates. He hopes to grow this firm until it is his main source of income.
Finally, in his other free time he is the Vice President of the Salt Lake County Democrats. He has does wonderful things in his short tenure including introducing "Think Precinct" a grassroots political organizing and action plan successfully used in Colorado to get Barack Obama elected last year!
As you can see I am tremendously proud of Justin! Beyond all of his extracurricular activities, he is a fantastic husband to me. He is great about splitting the housework and cooking. Justin is going to be an amazing Dad who will have lots to teach Little Tuna.
Kennedy Anne a.k.a. Little Lady
Ms. Kennedy came into our lives April 20th 2010. She is such a calm little soul that I am suprised she came from Justin or I! Now that she is socially smiling we are getting to see more of who this little person is. She only cries when hungry or really tired and the rest of the time she is just smiling, cooing, looking around, or some combination of all of these. While I look forward to getting more sleep, I am loving this time in her life.
